International Lust

OK so...I grew up in a smallish town in the heart of the United States, where love for America takes on an almost religious fervor.  People look at you funny if you don't have a flag up on your porch...it's that kind of place.  And while you can take the girl out of the small town, you can't take the small town out of the girl, not entirely.

I was 18 years old when the events of 9/11 happened and in the years that followed, I watched a lot of my guy friends go off to war.  I am not going to discuss the politics of the wars, or any of that, but at least here in the US, that day was the defining day for so many people my age.  September 11th of this year was the 15th anniversary of those attacks and as always it brings back a lot of emotion.  One of the most touching things I can remember from back then was how the world came together to support America, so the movie that follows this long winded explanation is meant to capture some of that international 'pulling together' that happened back then.  Saying it out loud has made it sound a bit silly and a bit 'touchy/feely' but hopefully you understand.

I had many more performers lined up to represent their countries in a show of support but I honestly just ran out of time.  I am sorry about that.

Enough posturing - please enjoy my small indulgence and thank you to the performers who seriously scrambled quickly to get outfits, etc.
